  3. Grease your baking pan and bake according to the pan you choose:
    • 9 x 13-inch pan: 14 to 17 minutes

  4. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  5. Add the cooled cake to a stand mixer and mix for 5 to 10 minutes until it reaches a soft, playdough-like consistency.

Melt & Color the Chocolate

  3. Divide the melted chocolate into separate bowls.
  4. Color each bowl using Chefmaster® Candy Colors.

Pro Tip: Chefmaster® Candy Colors are highly concentrated. Start with a small amount and build your color gradually until you achieve your desired pastel shade.

Roll & Assemble the Cake Pops

  1. Using a kitchen scale, portion approximately 1.25 ounces of cake mixture for each cake pop.
  2. Compress the mixture and roll it into smooth balls using your hands.
  3. Place each ball into a cake pop mold for uniform sizing.
  4. Dip the end of each cake pop stick into melted chocolate before inserting it into the center of each cake pop.
  5. Dip each cake pop completely into the colored chocolate.
  6. Remove excess chocolate by gently tapping your wrist or lightly tapping the stick against the edge of the bowl.

Decorating Inspiration

Chocolate Flower Cake Pops

Fill a silicone flower mold with colored chocolate and freeze for about 5 minutes, or until firm.

Carefully remove each flower and attach it while the cake pop coating is still slightly tacky.

Drizzle & Sprinkle Cake Pops

Transfer colored chocolate into piping bags or small zip-top bags.

Drizzle contrasting pastel colors over each cake pop and finish with your favorite sprinkle blend for an easy but elegant design.

Don't be afraid to experiment with different color combinations and decorations. Every batch can be customized to match your celebration and decorating style.

Pro Tips

  • Use a kitchen scale to keep every cake pop the same size.
  • Let the coating cool slightly before dipping to help prevent cracking.
  • Tap gently to remove excess coating for a smooth finish.
  • Allow chocolate flowers to fully harden before removing them from the mold.
  • Store finished cake pops upright in a stand while they dry for the cleanest finish.
  • Wipe the edge of your melting bowl often to keep colors clean while dipping.
